Msheireb Properties has opened Msheireb Foodhall at Msheireb Galleria, in the heart of Msheireb Downtown Doha, according to reports published on 8 October 2026. The developer describes it as the first internationally operated food hall in Qatar. The coverage so far describes the line-up by type rather than by name, and does not give an opening date.

The hall brings nine cuisines under one roof through a curated selection of restaurants: six homegrown concepts and three international brands. It is arranged across four zones and can accommodate up to 320 guests. A main dining hall with a terrace is meant for everyday visits, and a mezzanine lets diners watch signature dishes being prepared. A semi-enclosed business community area is available for private events.

The fourth zone is the Food Lab and Interactive Experiences Space, which is set to host workshops, guest chefs, masterclasses, tasting sessions and pop-up restaurants on a rotating schedule through the year.

The operator and the model

TGP International, which created the concept and runs the hall, was named as Msheireb Properties’ partner on the project in May 2025, when GCC Business News reported that it would lead concept development and creative direction. The same report listed TGP’s earlier food-hall concepts in the region: Depachika Food Hall, Alkebulan and Al Mamlaka Social Dining.

TGP’s own project page sets out how the hall is meant to work. Three parties are involved: Msheireb Properties as landlord, TGP as manager under a dedicated management agreement, and the concession brands themselves. TGP says its curation balances international names, regional favourites and emerging local talent, with rotating pods and menu items, and with incubator opportunities for new Qatari food brands. Guests can order by QR code at the table or through digital ordering, with click-and-collect and dedicated pick-up zones.

The design draws on the meaning of the district’s name, which TGP gives as a place to drink water, and uses surfaces made from date-seed by-products. TGP also plans monthly activations with chefs, artists and storytellers, along with events such as Ramadan nights and Qatar National Day.

Where it fits in Doha’s dining scene

The hall opens in a city whose restaurants are now being assessed by international guides. When the MICHELIN Guide Doha 2026 was unveiled in December, it listed 44 restaurants, three of them with a star. A food hall is a different proposition from a fine-dining room, and its rotating Food Lab and monthly activations will show how much of the offer changes after the opening weeks.
