Yannick Alléno’s Two New Dubai Concepts Put One&Only The Palm in Focus
Coastal-Italian Casea 101 is scheduled to open on 19 October, with the L’Abysse omakase counter expected alongside it, though the resort has yet to confirm that date.

One&Only The Palm is days away from opening its newest restaurant. Casea 101 by Yannick Alléno is scheduled to open at the Palm Jumeirah resort on 19 October 2026, according to the announcement TradeArabia reported on 5 October. A second Alléno concept, the omakase restaurant L’Abysse, is listed for the same date by other outlets, although the resort’s own Casea 101 release does not mention it.
A Riviera table on the water
Casea 101 is a waterfront venue inspired by the flavours and the social rhythm of the French Riviera. The cooking, though, is Italian coastal: Mediterranean ingredients and seasonal produce, with seafood, shellfish and fresh catches at the centre of the menu. The format is built for sharing. The announcement names seafood towers, crudos, seasonal catches cooked over fire and pizzas made in an open kitchen.
The room follows the same idea. The resort describes pavilion-style architecture, natural materials, warm and sunny colours, wood and rounded shapes, all meant to evoke Mediterranean seaside living. What’s On, in its round-up of the biggest Dubai openings published on 7 October, describes a relaxed all-day pace that runs from lunch into the late evening.

L’Abysse: the counter still to be confirmed
L’Abysse first opened at Pavillon Ledoyen in Paris in 2018. The Dubai version brings Japanese craft together with French technique under Alléno’s “Cuisine of Time” approach, which looks at how maturing, extracting and preparing an ingredient changes its flavour and texture. Fact Magazines describes a 34-seat restaurant led by the sushi master Ken Ishihata: a 10-seat counter, a 16-seat dining room and an eight-seat private room, serving a 13-sequence omakase in five movements.
Both Fact Magazines and What’s On give 19 October as the opening date. Because the Casea 101 announcement is silent on L’Abysse, and the Fact Magazines article dates from December 2025, the date is best treated as provisional until the resort confirms it.
Why it matters
The resort already houses STAY by Yannick Alléno, which kept its two Michelin stars in the 2026 Dubai guide announced on 6 October (see our analysis of the guide). If both new rooms open as listed, one chef will have a fine-dining address, a coastal-Italian waterfront table and a Japanese-French omakase counter on a single resort, an unusual concentration of one name in one place.
It also lands in a busy autumn for the Palm. Our guide to the season’s openings on the Palm and Jumeirah places Casea 101 and L’Abysse alongside a rooftop robatayaki restaurant and several beachfront arrivals still to come.
